I reviewed this port from bash: etc]# netstat -antp | grep 445 SMTP: If secure connection is required (TLS authentication only), you have to select TLS (Port 25), not SSL If you're using Thunderbird 1.x you may want to login with /tb appended to your username. Port 587, the standard secondary SSL SMTP port, does work properly with TLS. I installed a Zimbra server into CentOS 6, enter the admin panel via web HTTPS over port 7071, the problem is I can not access the web mail client (port 445), I can only access via localhost. Some ISPs SMTP servers do not implement TLS properly on port 465 (AT&T Yahoo DSL in particular) mail clients handle this when making an SSL connection, however Postfix loses the server connection in this case.
